The One Direction hunk has recently been romantically linked to US 'X Factor' judge Demi Lovato and student Amy Greene but he insists he's single and is looking for the right girl.

He said: "I'm definitely single. I'd like a girlfriend. All these things in the papers about me saying I'd rather sleep than find a girl is ridiculous. I was just explaining that on my time off I like to chill.

"I'm not actually looking but if the right person came along, definitely."

Niall admits he has gone out with Demi a couple of times but says there's nothing going on between them and are just friends.

He told Now magazine: "What actually happened was that I always used to say in my interviews that I liked her and she also said that she liked me. We got in contact through twitter and we just started chatting and became friends. Demi's one of the nicest girls I know. She's super-cool. She always texts me to see how I am. Nothing ever really happened.

"When I've been in LA and had a few hours to myself, I've seen her a couple of times. We did go for a bit of dinner after the MTV Video Music Awards."

JUSTIN BIEBER INSTAGRAM POST FUELS SELENA GOMEZ SPLIT RUMOURS

Rumours suggesting celeb couple Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have called it a day are a-buzzin' round media ville - after the Biebs posted a 'cryptic' message on photo sharing site Instagram.
El Biebo shared a pic of himself (no surprises there, he loves a good selfie does Biebs) along with the caption '*Lingse*' - which some are claiming is an anagram for the word 'single'.

Yes, yes it is - but it's also an anagram for the word 'ginsel' and 'nesgil'. OK WE KNOW THEY'RE NOT REAL WORDS, WE'RE CRAP AT ANAGRAMS OK? GOD.
Justin later deleted the post - sparking even more speculation that he'd let his new relationship status slip.
This, coupled with the fact that the J-Dawg posted another photo with the caption 'just me' and the fact that he and Selena have been forced apart by career schedules recently means that some are building up a pretty weighty case to suggest Jelena is no more.

Hmm, we're not sure about this one - perhaps Biebertron has simply been a victim of a particularly confusing autocorrect? He's just been raving about The Gomez in an interview with Oprah, after all.

Cee Lo Green denies reported sexual battery allegations

According to TMZ, the singer is being investigated by police in LA after a woman accused him of abusive behaviour in a restaurant. Police have reportedly interviewed employees at the restaurant – but no charges have been brought yet.

The website says Green has strongly denied the allegations, saying he had not even been to the restaurant in question in months and that "nothing ever happened there or anywhere else".

Earlier this year it was reported that, in 2001, Green was for arrested for supposedly threatening his former wife and smashing the windows of their car. He subsequently spent two days in jail on disorderly conduct charges, and was placed on probation for a year.

Though best known as a solo singer and frontman of Gnarls Barkley, in recent years Green has branched out into film and TV. He appears as a "coach" on the US version of The Voice and has a supporting role in Sparkle, a musical film that marks the last screen appearance of the late Whitney Houston.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the singer was in the early stages of a project to executive produce and potentially star in a sitcom based around his own life.

In July (2012), Green also joined the cast of Can A Song Save Your Life?, a new musical drama film starring Keira Knightley. He released his last album, 'The Lady Killer', in 2010.

Robbie Williams thinks One Direction probably really ‘dislike’ each other

NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD-POLITICS

Robbie Williams has claimed that the lads from One Direction probably really dislike each other.

The Take That star has been casting his mind back to the days when he was in a boyband and admitted that while he ‘loved’ bandmate Gary Barlow, there was a lot about the group leader that he really, really ‘disliked’ too.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The ‘Angels’ hitmaker told Shortlist magazine that he has a whole variety of feelings for the ‘Back For Good’ songwriter and explained:

“I just really disliked him. I loved him and disliked him.”

Williams thinks that Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Niall Horan probably have a lot of the same thing going on and added:

“I’m sure that in One Direction right now, there’s going to be hatred between certain members for certain things, all young and daft stuff.”

However Louis Tomlinson could not disagree more. He has insisted that the boys are the best of friends and on on Australian TV show Sunday Night, Lou Lou said:

“It’s such a frustrating question….I just don’t understand how you can see the way we are together – on camera and off camera – and look at it as if it’s being contrived.”

“It’s so evident that we do get on so well and I just don’t think we’re good enough actors to pull off that kind of friendship!”

What do you think Directioners? Great friends or not? Surely if they were so close Zayn could have at least attended Tomlinson’s charity football match this week, don’t you think? wow shut up

Niall Horan has found a new girl

NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD-POLITICS

via glooce

Niall+Horan+and+Amy+Green

Don’t weep into your Cornflakes, girls... I can reveal that One Direction singer Niall Horan has found a new girlfriend.

According to my spies the star is dating a 20-year-old drama student called Amy Green.

And the pair were very much an item at last week’s X Factor at Fountain Studios in Wembley.

My spy tells me: “Niall was introducing Amy to people as his girlfriend and they were very happy from the look of things. He was kissing and cuddling her when people weren’t watching and seemed really into her.

“She was very posh and I have to say they seemed like a great couple. It’s definitely early days but Amy was on his arm as a girlfriend not just a girl friend.”

I went to the singer – who recently admitted he’d torn ligaments in his knee after being attacked by a squirrel in Battersea Park – last night for comment and he refused to talk about his relationship with Amy. But a second source told me: “They’re dating – it’s early days but they’re very cute together.”

The pair have been tweeting each other for the past few weeks too and look quite the cute couple in pictures they’ve posted.

This is also likely to put all those rumours to bed that Niall was growing close to X Factor USA host Demi Lovato. Demi said two weeks ago: “He has a lot of great qualities. He is an amazing listener and makes me laugh a lot, two of the main qualities I look for.

“He knows I have a little crush on him, and we enjoy having dinner when we get the chance. We speak and message all the time. I don’t want a relationship over Skype; we are both in a place where we feel zero pressure to rush.”

But it would appear Niall doesn’t want to have a long-distance relationship with Demi right now. Whether things with Amy cool off when Niall makes another trip around the globe on tour is a whole different story...

Brandon Flowers: 'The world is against the Christian man'

NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD-POLITICS

via glooce

Hello Brandon. What did you have for breakfast today?

I have the same thing every day. I find it comforting. I have a banana, but I can never eat the whole banana. And I'll drink a couple of Actimels. And some kind of cereal with almond milk. And then after that I have a Coke.

I read that there is some debate among Mormons about whether you're allowed to drink Coke.

Yeah. There's no doctrine about not drinking Coca-Cola. Coffee is still frowned upon. It's the caffeine. I think people become reliant on coffee. And that can't necessarily be a good thing.

You have 18 nephews and nieces. Can you name all of them?

Yeah (1). I think I could tell you all their middle names too.

Have you had any contact with the other Brandon Flowers?

The dude on the Kansas City Chiefs (2)? No.

Apparently he earns $10m a year.

Damn! I'm the wrong Brandon Flowers.

The new Killers album, Battle Born, is named after the Nevada state slogan. Are you aware of the Nevada state fish?

Is it some kind of trout?

The Lahontan cutthroat trout, to be exact.

Oh, I did know that. Our state animal is the bighorn sheep. Our bird is the bluebird.

You know your Nevada.

I'm proud of it. It's my roots. Sage is our state plant. The bristlecone pine is the state tree.

And the Killers have performed the state song ...

Yes, Home Means Nevada. I used to sing it in elementary school. It's probably one of my earliest memories of music.

Have you ever recorded it?

Not really. Harry Reid is the Senate majority leader and he went to the same high school that my parents did, and when he gives speeches in Nevada, he comes out to our recording of Home Means Nevada that we did for him.

And he is a Democrat?

Democrat Mormon.

Whereas Mitt Romney …

Republican Mormon.

What's the political split between Mormons?

We're leaning on the Republican side. (Laughs). Probably, like, 90%.

So you had lunch with Romney in Las Vegas?

Yeah. It was fine. We went to Caesar's Palace. I think I had a burger.

Who picked up the tab?

I think Mitt might've got that one. He was in Vegas and I was home and we were just kind of shooting the breeze.

And has he asked for your support?

Um, yeah (3). We also get asked from Obama. People focus on Romney, but we don't campaign for Obama either.

But you have done for Harry Reid.

Yeah, we have a different connection to Harry. Harry knows my aunt Barbara.

It's quite an odd thing to be in a tussle between politicians.

But you know, I keep saying it, I feel like a broken record but we're neutral. We've never really embraced one side or the other, or used our success to really preach like that.

How many times have interviewers asked whether you're human or dancer?

Probably about 50. I give different answers. But I don't know that I've ever said dancer. I'm not a great dancer.

Mormons are not supposed to drink alcohol. So have you never been drunk?

I have been drunk. I haven't drank in five or six years. And I will probably never be drunk again.

You live in Vegas. It seems quite brash: all sex and gambling. A bit like Blackpool.

I've been to Blackpool. It's not like Blackpool.

You were a Vegas hotel bellman. What does that job involve?

Say you want to kill a couple of hours before your plane and you want to go and gamble or get a hooker, you leave your bags with me. You'd come back when you're finished and you would give me your tag and I would give you your bag. And you would tip me.

For Brits visiting America, the tipping thing can be very troubling. Like, when should you give them a dollar and when shouldn't you?

Don't ever give anyone a dollar.

Too low?

Yeah. Maybe if it was like 1965.

You recently had a debate on Swedish TV with prominent atheist Richard Dawkins (4).

Yeah, let me say this. I gave some decent answers that were edited out. So, the world is against the Christian man.

Did you know Dawkins was going on?

I found out the day before and I know who he is, and I knew about The God Delusion and all of those things. For him he sees the beauty in science proving something and finding out origins of things. And that's enough for him. Nothing that science will ever find will disprove that God had a hand in it, for me. So it's a useless debate. And nothing that has been found has changed the gospel that I believe in.

Did you speak to him on the phone afterwards, as was mooted?

No, I would like to. I have issues with him. He generalises things about my church and kind of drags it through the dirt a lot.

Are you working on this year's Killers Christmas single yet?

Well, let me just go back to it. It's just there's so much to be said by his behaviour and the way that he is in interviews, for the most part. I've seen other interviews with him.

Words like "conman" and "fake" did seem designed to provoke a reaction.

Yeah, and this is information that he's getting off the internet! [Laughs] He's this smart guy and getting his information from the wrong places. That was really what frustrated me.

Why would you want to speak to him again?

I'd like him to just stop dragging [my church] through the mud.

Which is unlikely to happen.

Oh it's fine. He's an unhappy old lemon tree. I'm a peach.

Foot notes

(1)
He can: Joshua, Luke, Brook, Seth, Rachel, Emily, Britney, Jake, Chase, Brianna, Cassidy, Taylor, Hayden, Caitlin, Alexis, Austin, Kyla and Ethan.
(2)
The other Brandon Flowers has played in the NFL since 2008.
(3)
They declined.
(4)
You can watch it on YouTube. The other guests are Benny from Abba and Ulrika Jonsson. Presumably the Muppets' Swedish Chef had a prior engagement.

Dave Grohl hints at Foo Fighters hiatus

NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD-POLITICS

via Glooce

Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl has delivered a clear indication that the band may be gone for a long time.

During the band's epic set at the massive Global Citizen Festival in New York's Central Park on Saturday (September 30), Grohl told the 60,000 crowd in attendance that "this is it", reports Billboard.

Before playing 'Learn To Fly', the group's fourth song of the night, Grohl said: "Without making a big deal out of it, we
don't have any shows after this. This is it, man. Honestly I don't know when we're gonna do it again…and this is the perfect place to do it."

However, fans of the band will take comfort as, at the end of a blistering set packed with crowd-pleasing anthems such as 'My Hero', 'Times Like These', 'All My Life' and 'Best Of You' and set-closer 'Everlong', Grohl told the audience: "I don't know when, but we'll see you again."

Previously, at this year's Reading Festival, Grohl told the crowd that the band were playing their "last show for a long time", as they headlined the final night of the festival.

The announcement came on the night Grohl and The Black Key's Dan Auerbach joined Neil Young on stage at a free concert in New York – you can watch a video of the performance below.

The concert was scheduled around a meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in New York next month and organisers used an innovative approach to ticket distribution. Any fans wanting a free ticket had to sign up to globalcitizen.org and earn points by watching videos about poverty, malaria, child mortality and other global problems.

Organisers said more than 71,000 people had signed up to the website, resulting in over 3.5million page views. It is reported 60,000 fans were given tickets to the free event in New York's Central Park.
