One Direction are set to perform their new single on The X Factor 2012 next month, it has been revealed.

The boys revealed their upcoming track Live While We’re Young last week, and it will go on sell the week before the live finals start.

it’s been less than tow years since the boys – Harry, Niall, Zayn, Liam and Louis – kicked off their journey on The X Factor.

Now they’ll be back performing songs from their second studio album and preparing for a headlining arena world tour.

Simon Cowell is said to be keen to get the boys on the show to help boost flagging ratings.

“He’s risked everything on making the US X Factor a big hit and it now faces the axe,” a source told the Daily Star Sunday today. “Simon knows One Direction wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the X Factor and he now wants to use their success story to save and promote the show.

“He has ordered producers on both sides of the Atlantic to book in the best guest performers for the live shows.”

Other stars lined up for the new series include the likes of former X Factor winner Leona Lewis and US star Pink.

Robbie Williams, Cheryl Cole, Tulisa and Nicole Scherzinger are all also expected to perform on the live results shows.

No question was off limits when Usher sat down with Oprah at his house in Atlanta for “Oprah’s Next Chapter.” In addition to opening up about his divorce and custody battle, Oprah posed the burning question: “Have you or do you make love to your own music?”

The “Climax” singer laughed before confessing, “Some may say this would be rather narcissistic, but yeah,” to which an amused Oprah responded, “If I were you, I would.”

During their sit-down interview, he also shared what he saw in Justin Bieber. “I saw a future of an artist that was very bright based off of his passion,” said Ursh of his 18-year-old protégé. “I saw the potential of success. It was really always left up to him and I always told him that.”

The full interview will air tomorrow (tonight - OP) at 9 p.m. on OWN.

Chris Brown goes shirtless to show off new tattoo

When it comes to tattoos, Chris Brown and Rihanna are clearly on the same wavelength.

The "Don't Judge Me" singer showed off some fresh ink Monday hot on the heels of debuting a new neck tattoo resembling his former lover - and this time, it looks as though Brown has chosen the same spot that Rihanna got her own new tattoo.

"About to go in on this #fighterjet #f16 #plane #tattoo on #chrisbrown," tattoo artist John
Petro captioned a shot of a tattooed Brown, 23, with the beginnings of a fighter jet etched onto his torso.

The finished jet, which points nose-first toward Brown's belly button, sits across the singer's abs, just below his chest.

Rihanna's latest ink, of an Egyptian goddess, is similarly etched into her midsection with the wings spread just below the "We Found Love" singer's breasts.

"Goddess Isis - Complete Woman - Model for future generations - #GRANGRANDOLLY," she wrote on her Twitter Sunday. "Always in and on my heart."

Earlier this month, Brown showed off another new piece of body art, with a sketch of a woman's face imprinted onto the right side of his neck.

Fans and the media noted that the tattoo bore a striking resemblance to a bruised and battered
Rihanna, but Brown defended his ink against haters on Tuesday.

"I'm an artist and this is art," he wrote on his Twitter account. "Dia de los Muertos."

Frank Ocean Covers The Advocate

“It was sheer joy because he was the first national well-known artist to come out and announce his sexuality,” says Lloyd Thurston “Gyant” Dinwiddie, referring to Ocean as the first black artist to come out to a hip-hop audience. “Frank Ocean is cemented in music history forever. Anyone who has walked in the LGBT shoes knows that story. His message related to people, and for him it was a weight lifted off his shoulder.”
July 4, 2012, marked a declaration of freedom for 24-year-old R&B soul singer Ocean. It was his coming-out party, and we’d all been invited to the virtual parade. His image, that of a serious-looking, handsome young man with a strong jaw line, a short beard, and a short fade haircut, was circulating along with his letter. Those who hadn’t previously heard of Ocean quickly learned that his announcement was significant, and especially significant to watchers of hip-hop. But it wasn’t a shock to everyone.
“I was like, What’s the big deal? It’s not like we all don’t know homosexuality exists and has its place in hip-hop,” says Reggie Osse, entertainment attorney, author, former TV executive, and host of The Combat Jack Show. Osse has represented artists including Damon Dash, Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Puffy, and DMX. He was instrumental in helping Jay-Z secure his first recording deal.
“I was really happy that Frank Ocean took his life and career into his own hands and made his proclamation,” says Osse. “It’s the first announcement of someone making a statement willingly. But let’s not act like this doesn’t exist.”
Before long music celebrities including Russell Simmons, Solange Knowles, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, and Beyoncé began tweeting and posting messages of support for Ocean. Even Odd Future member Tyler the Creator, who’s well-known for his use of the word “fa**ot,” tweeted how proud he was of his brother and friend. It seemed as if the hip-hop industry, which has notoriously been a closed boys’ club that shuns and ostracizes gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people, had experienced a change of heart. Hadn’t Jay-Z, a towering figure in hip-hop, just recently announced his support of marriage equality, following a message of support by President Obama? Jay-Z had seemingly just given Ocean a pass and ushered him into the boys’ club. And not from afar: Ocean had written and performed on Jay-Z and Kanye West’s hip-hop album Watch the Throne.

SIMON COWELL WANTS HARRY STYLES AND LOUIS TOMLINSON FOR X FACTOR JUDGING ROLE

    NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD-POLITICS

    simon-cowell-wants-harry-styles-louis-tomlinson-x-factor-judges

Simon Cowell has revealed that he thinks Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson would make great additions to The X Factor judging panel.
The One Direction lads appeared as guest mentors on the Australian version of the show in footage screened yesterday, prompting one journalist to ask Simon which member of the boyband he'd like to see as a permanant judge on The X Factor panel.
Speaking at the launch of The X Factor USA in Los Angeles, Uncle Si replied: "It would probably be between Louis and Harry," before turning to Demi Lovato and joking: "Demi, you would probably choose Niall."
We're sure Luigi and Hazman are well chuffed at Simon's choice - although personally we're not sure Louis Walsh could handle the Sass Pony, were he ever to join the UK panel.
The Niall-Demi joke did make us giggle though - it reminded us of the grilling Simon gave Demi over her friendship with Goldilocks - were he asked: 'Have you kissed him?'
We say put all five boys on a panel, and just watch the magic happen. Go on Si, DO IT.
Which member of 1D do you think would make the best judge?

ONE DIRECTION: GETTING IN GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS BOOK IS A DREAM

    NEWS -CINEMA-MUSIC-CELEBRITY-WORLD-POLITICS

    Via Glooce

One Direction have claimed a record-breaking first after becoming the first UK group to debut at No.1 in USA with a debut album after Up All Night entered at No.1 on 31 March 2012.

In the process, the boys bettered the 1997 achievement of The Spice Girls, who previously held the record for the Highest entry into US album chart by a British group when Spice entered at No.6.

The British five-piece, made up of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, were formed in 2010 by the X Factor judges after they failed to impress as solo artists on the TV talent show.

Commenting on the record, the band said: "Being the first British band to debut at Number 1 in America with a debut album is something that we would have never even have dreamt of. We are incredibly proud to have this achievement included in the Guinness World Records book.

One Direction's record and many, many more feature in the new Guinness World Records 2013 edition - available worldwide from 13th September 2012.

UK boy band One Direction big winner at MTV Video Music Awards (Videos + Pics)

    Via Glooce

LOS ANGELES -- British boy band One Direction were the big winners at the MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday, edging out Rihanna and taking home three prizes to crown their arrival on the U.S. pop scene just six months ago.
The five baby-faced guys, contestants on the British version of TV singing contest "The X Factor," beat Justin Bieber and Rihanna for best pop video, and fellow all-boy British outfit The Wanted as best new artists.
They also won the most-shareworthy video award for their debut hit single "What Makes You Beautiful" and later performed single "One Thing" to hordes of screaming girls at the two-hour Los Angeles ceremony.

"To win one Moonman is amazing, to win two is incredible," said Harry Styles, as the band collected the silver VMA trophy for best new artists.
"Thank you so much! We have grown up watching this show and to collect one of these straight away is incredible," said a jubilant Niall Horan.
Rihanna, who went into the VMA's sharing a leading five nominations with Canadian rapper Drake, came away with just one award.
But it was the most coveted award of the night - video of the year - and the Barbados-born superstar won it for her dizzying visual romp in hit single "We Found Love."
